Is thirst negitive or positive?

When you become dehydrated we become thirsty which leads us to drinking fluids. Is the thirst sensation a part of a negative or positive feedback control system and explain why.

  1. The thirst your body is sending your brain is a positive aspect. It lets you know your body is working properly and you should always stay in tune to what your body is telling you. Now get drinking!!!!!!!!


  2. I beg to differ. I am a paramedic. When you become dehydrated, negative, your brain says drink. If you are taking in proper fluids, positive, your brain does not have to tell you to drink. so, thirst is a negative feedback.

  3. I think it is positive to give our human body a warning alarm that we need water.. So,if after a long period of time.. Then we will most probably be sick cause our body become hot.. So,the conclusion is,its good to have warning before it gone havoc,right? If it just "burst" like that,whats the point??
