I have always wanted to start, but things have come up. I have 91-93 pounds, five three and a half, and athletic. Could I start without feeling like the grandma of the ballet world?

  1. No, i had a friend who started ballet at 16.

She started at the grade below me and nearly caught up with me.

She'd never done ballet before and ive been doing it since i was about 3 or 4.

Just join at a low grade and have a go.

    Good luck (:

  2. youre definitely not too old. i started ballet when i was a little bit younger than you and ive been moved up through my classes very quickly.

try not to worry about your age too much. youll be finee. and 13 is waay too young to think about feeling like the grandma of the ballet world. =]

    good luck!!

  3. It's never too old as long as you don't expect to become a prima ballerina.  I took it in my 20's and loved it.  Try and find a teen or adult beginner class.

  4. im having a similar dilema but not with ballet..i wana do other dance styles. i don't think we're too old! i really wana dance too and if ur athletic it shouldn't be a problem picking up the steps. im interested to see what other people answer

    good luck!
