Question:

Is this ACT score okay?

I got a 30 on English, 29 on Math, 28 on Reading, and 25 (terrible i know) on Science. It was my first time taking the ACT and according to their website my composite score (28) was in the 93% percentile nationally. Will colleges just look at the composite score or will they also see the individuals to see that Science screwed me over?

  1. Most colleges I applied to look at the individual scores of all of your different ACT tests to make the best composite score you can get.. so if you do not plan on taking it again, they will just look at the composite you already have.  If you take it again and do better on the science, they will take your best score and it may improve your composite.  It depends on the college though, I'm just speaking off of what the colleges in Ohio told me.

  2. Colleges will look at all of your scores, but the compositie score will be the number that truly counts.  I recommend taking the ACT with writing, since many colleges require the writing sipplement as part of the ACT score report.

  3. I think they look at the composite score, your scores were really good by the way, the first time I took it I was in the 10th grade an my composite score was a 16
