  1. I wouldn't send anything to Longsight. It's one of the dodgiest areas in Manchester! h**l, I wouldn't even go there in person, lol

  2. This email again?

I thought Y/A users had already decided previously that most of this address was fake - ie. that Stockport Road isn't in Longsight (it's in Denton), and that post code doesn't exist either - it's a generic code for a number of PO Box addresses that get sent to Manchester Central Post Office and picked up from there by businesses or individuals.  NatWest Bank use this postcode (legitimately) for their Spring Gardens branch (the real postcode begins M2), but scammers use this M60 code as well.

Anyhow, if you were a major international conglomerate like Yahoo, why would you set up shop in a run-down area of Manchester like Longsight?  You'd get yourself some nice plush offices on London's Docklands somewhere like Canary Wharf.

  3. if you are claiming a lottery or money prize i would say it looks like a scam.

  4. sounds like a scam to me

claims department for what.. let me guess a yahoo lottery?

did they give a phone number let me guess it starts 09, or +449 (in which case its a premium rate telephone number),

or 07 0r +447 in which case its a UK mobile phone

or its some other phone number starting with + in which case its an international call

why would yahoo use an address in Longsight Manchester?

the postcode M60 2DB is apparently the Manchester sorting office for Royal Mail, the true postcode for 208 Stockport Road is M34 6AU
