  1. It Probably Is And Youu Need Medication.. And Dont Were Makeup x

  2. i would say you definitely have conjunctivitis, without a doubt. You will have to see gp for cream to put in your eye, its quite thick and gooey will make your vision a bit foggy but works great.conjunctivitis is highly contagious make sure you use your own towel and face products. if you get the cream it will be gone in about three days. hope this helps

  3. yes hun you have got the symptoms. I suffer from this myself. Here is a link all about it and explains the best way to treat it.

  4. you do have conjunctivitis  it wont last long get some optrex or eye wash and bathe eyes failure to that warm salty water wipe eyes carefully with  clean towel/flannel dont use cotton wool.

  5. It sounds like it! You really need to treat it ASAP to stop it getting worse, as it will get quite uncomfortable. Treatment for simple bacterial conjunctivitis is quite easy, you can buy treatment over the counter at UK pharmacies.

*Go to your pharmacy and ask for chloramphenicol eye drops (this is the first line antibiotic used in conjunctivitis)

*Do NOT use the bottle for both eyes, as this can cause cross infection and two gooey eyes! If you want to treat both eyes, buy two bottles and label them.

*If this does not alleviate the problem over the next few days, see your doctor. If it gets worse, give your local eye casualty a ring for advice, they might want to see you.

*Never ever ever share make-up with anyone, even if they haven't had an infection! Everyone has their own balance of bacterial flora, and if her is different to yours, you could catch an infection. This area is a very vascular mucous membrane, which is very easy for bacteria and viruses to penetrate. All manner of diseases, not just conjunctivitis can be spread this way, so avoid doing it!

In the mean time, you can help alleviate your symptoms by gently washing your lashes with gauze and boiled - cooled water and salt (not too much). Make sure you boil it first, as this destroys most bacteria present in tap water.

    Good luck, hope this helps!

  6. u can go to the grocery store or a walgreen's type of store and get a homeopathic medicine to put in your eye it will say right on the box pink eye medicine the box is small and runs about 9$ or so but it works great they also have other medicine you can use for ear aches homeopathic means theres no prescription no doctor visit and natural herbal . I love it plus it works good  where I live Smith's food chain carries the stuff  I am talking about

  7. pink eye

  8. Sounds like it. It won't go away without medication, if it's bacterial conjunctivities, which it sounds like. It will just get worse, and hurt like h*ll

  9. my 16 year old just went through this and what had happened was she had woke up and her eye was not stuck together real bad but was clingy i guess we can call it and it was a little bit swollen and I thought it was conjunctivitis she had like yellow junk in the corner come to find out when the eye gets something in it if forms the yellow junk to help push it out.. so if this is the case then it will clear in a few days. If its green junk then most likely it is conjunctivitis and you will have to go see a eye doctor and get medicine ..come to find out she had used some powder and it must of got up into her eyelid ..that just had to be it

  10. Sounds like conjunctivitis (pink eye) to me!  There is an over the counter medication that you can use for pink eye.  It is made by Similisan and it is called Pink Eye Relief (this is an eye drop that I've found it at Walgreens and Wal Mart).  It won't go away without a medication, but with a treatment, the redness and 'goo' will be gone in about 3 days.  If you wear contacts, choose glasses for the next 3-5 days instead and don't wear make-up.  Any make-up that has been used while you have pink-eye will need to be thrown away or you risk contaminating yourself over and over (just like it sounds like you did with your friend's make-up).  Wash your pillow cases and sterilize anything you've touched that may have come in contact with the bacteria (tv remotes, door k***s), as it is highly contagious.  If it bothers you and is irritated, soak the area with a warm washcloth.  It should help relieve some of the discomfort.  Hope this helps!

  11. I don't know where you live, but I would strongly advise you to go to your nearest EYE hospital to get it sorted. You always get a proper diagnosis for your complaint, specially if it is an eye complaint.

  12. id say yes you have clean your eye with cooled boiled water don't share your towel conjunctivitis is contagious  and certainly not others eye make up a few days you be ok if not go doctors for some cream

  13. Sounds like it! Sharing any makeup is not a good idea. And out of date mascara will cause it too.  You need to see your pharmacist who will give you some ointment for it. And be careful sharing towels, flannels, anything like that or you will transfer it to your other eye.  Very very catching!!

  14. What is Conjunctivitis (Pink eye)?

Conjunctivitis, also known as pink eye, is an infection of the outer layer of the eye, the conjunctiva.

The conjunctiva produces mucus that lubricates and protects the surface of the eye. This membrane is made up of tiny blood vessels and when they become irritated the eye becomes red.

    Causes of Conjunctivitis

The three most common causes of conjunctivitis are: viral, allergic and bacterial. Viral and bacterial conjunctivitis can be very contagious.

Bacterial conjunctivitis is often caused through bacteria passed from the hands to the eyes, this is very common in children.

Viral conjunctivitis can occur with colds, sore throats and flu.

Allergic conjunctivitis is usually accompanied by other symptoms such as hay fever, eczema, asthma, teary eyes and sneezing. Antigens such as pollen, dust mites or cosmetics often cause this conjunctivitis.

    Diagnosis of Conjunctivitis

    Symptoms include:

    • Pink/ red, watery eyes

    • Inflamed inner eyelids

    • A scratchy feeling to the eyes

    • Watery discharge

    • Sensitivity to light

    • Swelling of the eyelid

Depending on the cause, conjunctivitis will usually clear up between two days and two weeks. If conjunctivitis is caused by a seasonal allergy, it may continue throughout the season.

    Treatment for Conjunctivitis

Viral conjunctivitis usually runs its course in one to two weeks. It does not respond to antibiotics. Artificial tears may also help relieve symptoms.

Bacterial conjunctivitis can be treated with antibiotic eye drops or ointment. Symptoms will then generally clear within a few days, if not an oral antibiotic may be prescribed.

Allergic conjunctivitis can be treated with antihistamine or steroid eye drops, but these should not usefor either bacterial or viral conjunctivitis.
