  1. do u know why we muslim say AS SALAM O ALEKUM YA AHAL AL QABOOR?????

  2. Well i certainly know,in what sense are you talking about,

The way Muslims recite Quran after the death of their relatives, certainly falls in the category of Bidah,

they eat, drink and talk WHILE reciting the Quran,

I recite Quran FOR Allah alone,

I don't recite Quran FOR my relatives,

but i certainly pray for them after reciting Quran,

you have brought a strong case in this question,

I am still wondering why you messaged me to answer this question,

as i am not a scholar, just a student of religion,

    as i said,

You have brought a strong argument in this question,

"or a righteous child who will pray for him.”

Well,in this sense,we should pray for our relatives but not in the way that destroys the purpose of reciting Quran i.e. To get guidance from it,

I hope I have answered this question.

    Salaam

  3. well. it wont really do anything to them at that point, but it will help them in the hereafter. but idk if it will make them go to heaven or not .

  4. “The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is reported to have said, “When a person dies, all his deeds come to an end except three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge (which he has left behind), or a righteous child who will pray for him.”

The most important thing that will benefit the deceased is to strive to pray for him/her and ask for forgiveness and mercy for him, and for Paradise and salvation from the Fire, and other good and beautiful du`a’s (supplications). Prayers for forgiveness offered by both sons and daughters of the deceased bring great benefits, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “A man’s status will be raised in Paradise and he will ask, ‘How did I get here?’ He will be told, ‘By your son’s du`a’s (prayers) for forgiveness for you.” (Reported by Ibn Majah)

Seems Pretty much islamic to me !!

  5. hey i dont mean to offend or anything.....but wouldnt you guys consider this bidaa and shirk?

oh ok man, no problem, inshallah u will get ur answer

  6. In my opinion we are judged only by our actions, not by other people reciting prayers or scriptures for us.

  7. [35:18]  No soul can carry the sins of another soul. If a soul that is loaded with sins implores another to bear part of its load, no other soul can carry any part of it, even if they were related. The only people to heed your warnings are those who reverence their Lord, even when alone in their privacy, and observe the Contact Prayers (Salat). Whoever purifies his soul, does so for his own good. To GOD is the final destiny.

[35:19]  The blind and the seer are not equal.

[35:20]  Nor are the darkness and the light.

[35:21]  Nor are the coolness of the shade and the heat of the sun.

[35:22]  Nor are the living and the dead; GOD causes whomever He wills to hear. You cannot make hearers out of those in the graves.

[35:23]  You are no more than a warner.

[35:24]  We have sent you with the truth, a bearer of good news, as well as a warner. Every community must receive a warner.

[27:79]  Therefore, put your trust in GOD; you are following the manifest truth.

[27:80]  You cannot make the dead, nor the deaf, hear the call, if they turn away.

[27:81]  Nor can you guide the blind out of their straying. The only ones who will hear you are those who believe in our revelations, and decide to be submitters.

  10. This hadith proves that prayers can benefit the dead. Nowhere does it say that reading the Quran over a dead body is gonna help.

And why do many people do this bida'ah?

    Ignorance.

  11. no, it won't..

many sikhs in my country (egypt) spoke about this and said that it's not right and based to the hadith you mentioned.

    Ramadan Kareem =)
