A solution of Xylenol Orange and Aluminum were heated and then absorption readings were taked by a spectrometer as the temperature fell, the absorbance measured fell along with the temperature.

  1. If the absorbance fell with the temperature, that means that less product (which produces the absorbance) is made at cooler temperatures. This must be an endothermic (heat absorbing) reaction that favors higher temperatures.
