apathy gives the best fit

apathy is the best fit

I don't think the second rhymes well enough but

it sounds better I was just curious!

  1. I rather like "gives the best fit"

    I agree with you, the opposite of love is indifference and apathy, not hate.


  2. "fits the best" is a cliche so I wouldn't use it

    Apathy fits the best - to me only this sounds natural the two alternatives you mentioned sound forced and interchanged only to rhyme
