Is this Gallbladder/Anemia/or what???

So, since Sunday night, I've been sick & in bed. I am feeling nausea, jaundice (in the eyes), dizziness, weak, headaches, & severe upper adominal pains.

I went to the doctor Wednesday, I had my blood drawn & given 2000 mg I've (which didn't help) I had an ultrasound done on Thursday & seen that my gallbladder was a bit hazy/cloudy. My blood results showed very high bilirubin levels & somewhat low red blood cells (not low enough to diagnosis me with anemia).

About a year ago, I was having the same extreme adominal pains & had a ultrasound done, again it was my gallbladder...hazy/cloudy. I just figured what I was experiencing was 'gas bubbles.'

About three years ago, I was diagnosised with anemia, because of my iron levels. I had a blood transfusion receiving 2 pints of blood.

I am 20 years old. 115lbs. 5'3. I work out & eat pretty much for the most part healthy (I have my days).

I am going to see a hemotologist on Tuesday.

I don't know whats going on & neither does my primary doctor. He is hoping the hemotologist can figure something out.

If you know anything about this... please help!

  1. Has anyone explored the possibility of hepatitis?  I'm not certain, but the minute you said jaundice I remembered a girl from high school way back when whose eyes were jaundice in the white area around the pupil.  I hope you are okay.

  2. You could have passed a gallstone and it could be pancreatitis.  You definitely need a second opinion.  The liver, pancreas, gallbladder and spleen are part of the same system.  Any of these could be diseased.

If you get any sicker or start vomiting go to the ER, it can be serious.
