I'm planning on getting it but if anyone already has it I'm wondering if it's any good or if it's just a rip-off piece of S***e.

  1. LG is OK.  But let me ask you this...Do you understand Best Buy's return policy?  If for any reason you bring that TV back to them, they will charge you a 15% restocking fee.

You didn't state how big of a TV you were willing to go to or how much, but consider this for only $1099.99.  It's a Sony.

  2. I just bought an LG LCD HDTV. I don't have it in my home yet, but I got it at Future Shop. I suggest get a TV there cuz they seem very reliable.

I guess the tv you want to get is ok. If you choose to get a bigger tv go for 1080p. You might also want to check out the contrast ratio. LCD's are better than plasmas s that's a good thing.

I think the tv above should be pretty good

I bought mine, a 42", for $100 more and it even come with a dimmer.

Also you're going to need an HD receiver if you don't already have one. and just note, that you will have to purchase the chords as well

  3. LG is a good brand.  You won't need a separate HDTV tuner; the set has one built-in.  Most stores will allow a 30-day return policy (no fee) unless you get it on super bowl weekend.  I recommend getting any TV from a local store rather than the internet because it is easier to take back if there are problems.  Ask about the return policy, and if you don't like it go somewhere else.  Circuit City is competitive.

  4. LG is a great brand (its Philips' High-End brand) and actually supplies a lot of other HDTV manufacturer's with their LCD Panels. $750 seems a little expensive for that TV thought.

I checked http://www.myhdtvdeals.com and they are listing a 32" Toshiba on sale at Amazon for $550.00 with free shipping. The Toshiba is just as good as the LG and its sold from Amazon which has a 30 day no-questions-asked return policy in which they pay for return shipping -- cant beat that!
