Is this Normal Chihuahua Labor behavior???

My Chihuahua is giving birth right now... well she was. She had the first one. Now shes cleaning the first one. Is it normal for then to clean the first one before they continue giving birth???

Some times they may clean up between pups. They have to remove the bag so the pup can breath. Just keep an eye on her as they often have trouble having pups as they are quite small. If she looks to be in pain take her straight to the vets, my Chihuahua has a C section.. $800 later we had one pup but my baby was ok. Good luck and congratulations!

yes thats normal, because she has to l**k all the gooey stuff off so they can breath, im pretty sure.

Yes its normal. Now if you have a local e vet in your area - get off the computer and get on the phone with them. You need to be on the phone with them and keeping an eye on her and not on the computer asking waiting for answers.

Did you have her X-rayed at the vet to determine the number of pups? For each pup there needs to be an accompanying placenta. Make sure monday mom and the pup(s) get checked out by a vet to make sure everyone is healthy.
