Is this REALLY a good idea for a party game?

Next Friday I am going to a party and one of my friends wants to play this game involving the staircase from the deck to the back yard. The way it works is that there is a circle of hats and when the game starts everyone runs to put on a hat. There is one less hat, and the one without a hat has to draw a playing card and then run up and down the stairs as many times as the card's number (face cards not yet explained to me) while everyone throws potatoes at him. If the person is hit by a potato then he is out. If a person goes out, one hat is removed. Afterward either way, all the hats return to the circle and the process starts over until one person remains and wins a used hot tub (he just bought a new one).

Is it worth playing this? His old hot tub is still pretty nice.

yes this is a great idea of a party game although u might want to get rid of the winner prize hot tub hting it might make people sad if they don't win (although if all of those guys want to have that as a prize, go ahead!)

one game i like to do at my partys is u get a bunch of full waterballoons and towels equal to half the number of people in the game(there needs to be an even number, and u need 4 or more people)you split the people into pairs and each pair gets one towel that they need to hold inbetween them. you get two of those pairs and put one waterballoon in the towel. the pair has to throw the waterballoon over an opstacle (praferably a volleyball net if you can find one) and the other team has to cattch the balloon in their towel. if the balloon does not make it over the net, than the team that threw the balloon is out and another team takes their place( if there is any)

*the cacthing and throwing with the balloons has to be done with the towel*
