Is this REALLY a scorpion? If not can somebody tell me what it REALLY is???

  1. Since when did black widows have large pinchers?

    Pseudoscorpion nailed it.  They are not a kind of scorpion or spider at all, but are arachnids like the scorpions and spiders. (Class Arachnida, Order Pseudoscorpionida.  Spiders belong to Order Araneae and Scorpions belong to Order Scorpiones.)

  2. Nope.  This is not a scorpion.  That is a spider and perhaps a Black Widow Spider. Does it have a red mark on its under belly like perhaps an hourglass? If it does you have an infestation of Black Widows.  

  3. no...this creature is called a false scorpion and i belongs to the arachnid family which does include the scorpion spiders and ticks and mites
