Will he really be a future first round pick of the 2009 NBA draft pick and bring something unique to the NBA??

Or is he Jason Williams 2.0??

I find this 17-year old "prodigy" interesting. They said he's been playing pro basketball at the age of 14 and well advanced to his age as evidenced by his 51point, 24rebound, 12 assists 7 steals and the half-court game winning shot against Russia in overtime in the 2006 Under-16 European championship.

Could this kid really be as kid as he is being projected?

  1. Yes he is as good as everyone says he is. A little interesting thing that has not been mentioned is that FC Barcelona, the team he is on, will be playing the Lakers in October in a pre-season game.

  2. He is kind of young so when he does join the NBA he is going to be ok, if you wait like 5 years on him he will be a great player.

YOU CAN"T EXPECT A 18 YEAR OLD TO BE A STAR IMMEADIATLY

  3. He has potential to become a great player but he'll never be as good as Kobe, LeBron, Wade, Paul, D-Will, and all the other NBA superstars.

  4. Rose vs/ Rubio u tell me??? he's good though

  5. he will be the future #1 pick...

    magic johnson skills..

    very young....

    international experience...

    STRENGHTS:

    Defense, anticipation, intelligence,

ball handling, PG (vision) creation, rhythm,

coordination, ambition, scoring and personality ...

ambidextrous, has good foot speed (not great)

and excellent body control ... With excellent use of speed/ direction changes

he excels both on the open court and the half court game as a set up or assist man ...

Catch and shoot is quick and clean ...

A smart rebounder, he gets optimum position under both boards ...

His shooting delivery is consistent with no waste of time or extra movement. I ve thought about it a lot and think the best comparison to past-present NBA players would be the best of both Walt Clyde Frazier and Steve Nash ...

He is a warrior and plays all out, all the time.

... Adventurous in his passing, he has two skills; Seeing and when necessary, creation of passing lanes. Excellent. Statistically he is a gem and he has personality. He leads. He knows how to win ...

    WEAKNESSES:

His outside shooting needs to continue to improve ...

Maturity will bring the necessary leg strength and stability to shoot with better consistency ...

His ratio of Assists/ Turnovers needs improvement,

time and experience being the only necessary elements required.

His youthful inexperience sometimes gets him caught out of control when competing with physically stronger men at the highest Euro level ... He is thin but will fill out as his frame is good.

  6. He is Chedder!

wait he is from spain so he is Manchengo!

  7. Ricky Rubio seems like he is already a really good player but like all young good players he needs some seasoning. In my opinion he has the potential but I don't think he is going to be all that he is hyped to be. But even with that said I think he is going to be a really solid player.

  8. if he is not the 1st or 2nd pick of the draft i will be very suprised
