Is this SAT Reasoning test score good for an 8th grader?!!!???

I'm in 8th grade and i took the SAT REasoning test through John Hopkins. This was what i got? Is it good, bad, or average for an 8th grader because i don't know how to read it lol. thanks for your help!

Critical reading: 490

Math: 520

Writing Skills: 520

Multiple Choice: 48

Essay: 9

Considering that you probably haven't learned all of the math that's on the SAT yet and considering that the critical reading passages are a little difficult, I think that's very good for an 8th grader. If you continue to prep for the next 3 years, you should be able to get well into the 600s (or maybe even break 700), which will set you up for admissions to some of the top colleges.

    Buy a prep book and simply practice. The math will improve as you learn more math, and the critical reading will improve as you get used to reading those passages and understanding how the CollegeBoard wants you to answer. Personally, I think the writing section gets easier as you read more and more books. The writing section also uses many of the same "tricks," so when you practice, you'll get used to looking out for them.

    In all, congrats on achieving that score as an 8th grader. I've seen juniors with the same score, or lower. By your own junior year, you should own the SATs. :D
