Is this XP/Vista Antivirus 2008/2009 thing the worst virus ever?

Because I see a whole lot of questions on here about it. I even saw videos about it on youtube! Exactly how does one get it? Through a bad site? Or a bad download? How?

Any virus is bad, so RULE # 1 is BUY a good security suite regularly updated--KEEP NOT ONLY YOUR ANTI VIRUS UP TO DATE BUT YOUR FIREWALL UP

Rule # 2 FREE anything is, well, free, so watchit--search on the FREE whatever to see what users say--By the way, Yahoo Searches now tag suspicious sites

Rule # 3 is don't open email you are NOT sure of the source and NOT forwarded jokes and pics

Not even close.  This program is rather easy to remove.  Most people who get infected with this have smitfraud and Zlob along with Virtumonde.  Those are the real pains.  Not the Vista antivurs 2008 program.

Most people get infected via the zlob downloader trojan.  They are tricked into downloading a fake active X controller or a fake video codec.  Mostly due to wanting to watch a video online.

If you practice safe browsing and have proper protection then you do not need to worry
