Is this a HIPPA Violation?

Ok so if you read a past post of mine, my husband and I are trying to get pregnant and have been trying for about 10/11 months now. The military doc here had said i had to be trying for 2 years before they could start testing me, but I finally convinced them yesterday to start testing me now. So I set up an appointment about my fertility and last night my husband's ex wife called us and started harrassing us about trying to have a kid and making fun of me for not being able to do it on my own. She also put that on her myspace and had her friends talk about it. She used to also be in the military (before she got kicked out) and so we know she knows ppl that work in this hospital. Is there a violation of my hippa privacy somwhere along the line? We don't have proof of the phone call, and her myspace doesn't say my name but it is obviously talking about me.. anyone know what I can do? Thanks..

contact myspace and inform them that she's violating the terms of service (which prohibits hateful or inflammatory speech or discrimination).

then you go right ahead and tell ppl that the reason you need assistance is because the ex-witch gave him a disease that damaged his swimmers.

It probably is, but I don't think there's any way to prove that someone in the hospital told the ex wife about your problems, so I don't think there's anything you can do on a legal level.

If someone at the military hospital told someone else (outside the hospital) about you and your treatment then yes, that is without a doubt a HIPPA violation.  And seeing that she called you about it it is obvious that they used your name.

I would report the doctor and the hospital.

I had a clinic violate HIPPA and it's a pain in the butt to go through the reporting process, but it's worth it in the end.
