As Close As I Want to Get To a Love Poem

Tell me you are broken

Let me know your week

I have no problem telling you

That I am less than meek

My failures stack up many

My victories are few

But tell me that you need me

I have always needed you

To follow in my line of shorter poems for the day… if you could tell me what you think apart from the title I would enjoy reading your thoughts!

Blessed Be, Siren

  1. Sounds like something said between a couple that have been together for a while. I liked it.

  2. I do not care for love poems... and I liked this one so now it is not a love poem... it is a truth poem!

  3. It is actually good it seems as though this poem is personal and that it is very genuine

  4. Ah, that's called for a person in which chemistry is shared only. expressing wise at least.

So, is this a love poem or a psychological way of asking whether "feelings" are mutual?

I don't see this, as what you would call a love poem. I see this "poem" as a question, or questions?

  5. As always your poem sings to me! I am astounded anew and missing you no more now that you have brought me this new enjoyment to my day. Thank you child, I have always admired your work.

  6. My week goes from Sunday to Saturday, like everyone else's. You mean "you're weak." You can get away with this in speech, but on the page, higher standards are essential. Regretfully, I will have to notify The Board of Directors of the Poetry Section, Division of Egregious Errata and Erotica. The poem is okay.

  7. I liked it :) thumbs up!

  8. The poem makes me wonder why broken and weak are core components.  Is that where the need comes into play?  Interesting poem and well written.

  9. L2 - "let me know you're weak" - or are you on a weekly communication thing. LOL ♥
