ok so plz tell me if this a metaphor and if you forgot what a metaphor is click on the link below :) thnx i rele will appreciate your help :)

  2. Any time you use "like" or "as", it's a simile.  You would have to use the sentence without the word "like" to make it a metaphor.

  6.   The first is a simile ("like" quicksand).  The second is a metaphor.  The writer is referring to the girl's goals and hurtles as her "mountain to climb."  It is, in essence, comparing her difficult goals as "mountains to climb."  A comparison like this is a metaphor.
