Is this a Split Pot Texas Hold'em?

So player A had a King 3, player 2 had a King 5 and the Board was King 7 jack 9 6. Is this a split pot?

  2. Yes, it is. The best 5 card hand possible for either player is KKJ97. The 5 and 3 don't come into play as kickers.

  3. Yes it is a split pot.  Both players have K,K, J, 9, 7.  That is it.  You use the best 5 cards out of the 7 available.  In Omaha, that's a slightly different story.

  4. Remember, it's the best five cards.  In this situation the best five cards are:

    K K J 9 7

    Neither player had a 'kicker' that could beat the board, so it is a split pot.

    Now if one of them had K8, for example, the eight would be better than the seven so they would have K K J 9 8, and this would be the better hand.

    But yes, in this case, it's a split.

  5. Player A has - K K J 9 7

    Player B has - K K J 9 7

    Split pot!

  6. No the person with the King 5 wins.

  7. Yes it would be a draw question , because one can only play five cards and each of theme has a 6 for high card.
