Question:

Is this a Tactic that the recruiters usually apply to get rid of some candidates?

I will put the email sequence and let you judge by yourself.

Note that,

1. she (the recruiter) misspelled my name or put minus minus (--) in front of it. And I don't know the purpose of doing this.

2. She sent me the position requirement in office 2007 (.docx) which few people have and when I asked for (.doc) , she refused to send it to me.

3. She said she will call me for a phone interview at 9:30. But, I waited until 11 am and I didn't receive any call from her.

I believe you can't do anything about this conduct. Because there is no real and tangible proof . But, I believe that everybody has the right to speak out.

Thanks for your comments

Hi, Brahim--

My name is ** and I'm the Microsoft Recruiter who works with candidates from your university. I've had a chance to review your resume, and I'm interested in conducting a phone interview with you. This interview is a chance for me to get a better sense of your skill set and skill level, and an opportunity for you to learn a bit more about Microsoft, and the technologies you might be most interested in working with. If you're interested in interviewing, please email me with several times you are available to speak between January 10th and January 25th. (Confine these to Pacific Standard Time) As well, please fill out the attached candidate interest form and return it to me as soon as possible.

Sincerely,

Ari

I just moved recently to Toronto and find a job in a company here. But,

working with Microsoft is a big opportunity for me and I would like to speak with you.

So, if you have time between 12pm and 1pm or after 6pm any day or anytime in the week-end, I will be available to take further this opportunity.

Thanks again and sorry for any inconvenience

Bra

Hi Brahmin,

There must have been a misunderstanding because I tried calling you twice, but there was no answer. I'm sorry, as I would have liked to have spoken with you, but if you've already taken a job then I wouldn't have been able to interview you anyway.

Thanks- I'm very sorry for the confusion.

Regards,

Aria
