Is this a bad cold or something worse?

hey,

yesterday when i woke up i had a horrible sore throat and coughing like crazy! the same day i started to feel really weak and could not get out of bed. my head has been so hot yet my body is really cold.

Today i fell asleep and woke up, got out of bed and fell over because i was so dizzy. the thing is i don't have a blocked or runny nose.

also when I'm shivering i put a blanket on me but then i get so hot i take it off. Once i've taken it off i get cold again and its so annoying!

what do you think this could be? just a really bad cold or something else?

Sounds like the flu to me. You should go to the doctors though just to make sure, there's so many wacky flu variations out there.

It sounds like you have a bronchial infection, which usually comes with a sore throat and a chesty cough and a temperature which is what the hot cold thin is.

take some cold and flu tablets long with some cough medicine, then have a hot bath and stay in bed if it doesn't start to clear up in a few days see a doctor
