Hello!

I am here in wintery Saint Louis, ice everywhere and very slick!

And watching people drive, cell phones glued to their ears and paying attention more to the call then they're driving during BAD conditions! Are people just not that bright?

  1. I think the ice might have gave them a brain freeze and it will only break when unfortunatley an accident happens

  2. thats how the body shop keep they business

  3. Most of the people are in denial and think that accident can't happend to them....till it actually happens...I hope they have a wishlist....but I'm worried about the fact that usually people who cause the accidents survive and kill everybody in other car and I'm very concern because I have a little baby...cops should start giving out tickets..that would be another way how to raise money and improve our ecnomy ..hahaha...aslo I've just heard that in some countries in Europe there's a point system...for each traffic violation getting points and after you reach 12 points your driver's licence is taking away from you...like that idea :-)

  4. Yep! bad idea.

  5. It have been a bad idea since the cell phones came out; especially with the kids out driving; who ever made the cell phones; should have thought of all the damage that they could bring

  6. You are correct,   they are not that bright.

But then,  knowing that,   sink your money into oil and body shop stocks.

  7. They don't have a grip on reality, and also feel they are invincible. If they get in an accident they expect insurance to cover it too!

  8. what did we ever do before cell phones? i cannot remember.

  9. You're seeing that too many drivers believe the commercials about their vehicles...I can drive this way cuz I saw it on TV...And it comes as a shock when they wind up sideways in a ditch...It is tough enough driving on a clean, dry road surface ..But when we have to contend with roads coated with water, snow, ice, sand, salt - then add oily residue - any logical and reasonable thinking driver would say "Do I have to do this right now?"..Unfortunately, driving is such a common part of our lives that we don't think about the conditions that are stacked against us..."I can handle it...I did it before."...Driving is for thinkers - not talkers.

  10. They are irresponsible

  11. Yes it's a bad idea!

Enough with the cell phone business, go on to something else now!

I can't understand why some people answer all your questions.

  12. the want to commit suicide in a creative way

  13. Mostly just brain-dead and irresponsible.

  14. They are blissfully unaware of the danger.

  15. Hi there. I live in Northern Ireland and its very rare if we get enough snow to cover the roads. But when we do its chaos, It seems that drivers are the same all over snow, ice and mobile phones make a really bad combination.

In the UK we have a points system and for minor offences its usually a spot fine of £30. Speeding offences usually attract points from a basic 3 up to 12 and and then an outright ban.

This of course affects your insurance, the more points the higher your insurance will be.  A good percentage of drivers have 3 points and it has got to the stage that the insurance company's now ignore 3 points on your licence. The points come off after three years. The system is not perfect and it does need overhauling but all in all it is reasonably fair.
