Ok Well I am going to be a freshmen and I am in band and drama and want to do cross country and track. Would this be too much at one time? I'm mainly asking about the cross country because band is going to be so hectic through those months.

  1. i am also going to be a freshman and i am in 3 sports, band, and on student council. & i am not organized at all. If i can handle that much than anyone can!

  2. I Recommend Trying Everything You Never Know You Might Find Something More Fun Than Being In a Band

  3. If you think you can handle all that on top of school work then no.

  4. I'm an up and coming Freshman, too. :]

My plate is FULL. I'm taking on:

    Science Club

    Spanish Club

    Student Council

    I'm running for class officer.(President, vice-president, etc)

    FBLA

. . . . And a few others. My guidance counselor told me that I would probably end up having to drop a few considering the amount of work and that I'm not as used to it. But anyway, I don't think it's so much. :]

But if you start feeling like it is, then make a choice to hold back on one and do it next school year. =D

    Good luck!

  5. its only your first year of high school. I am sure you can handle it. 9th grade is simple

  6. I am in a cross country team at my school, and I am required to attend 3 out of the 5 practices a week. So if it is the same with you I don't think you will be able to keep such responsibility. You will need to attend your band practices and drama... Simply not enough time.

  7. I'm not really sure, considering the fact that I'm about to start hs myself.  Really, though, you should keep in mind that in highschool, the workload is even greater, so you'll want to budget time for homework, studying, and projects (yawn!).  I think that you should try these things, and use a planner or scheduler to mark down your appointments, meetings, study sessions, and practices to organize your life and make everything easier to manage.  You may want to work your way up to doing so much, especially since you may feel overwhelmed starting highschool.  If you want to chat, just email me! =)

  8. Maybe for your first year. Try cross country next year so you can build up more strength and get settled in. Band and drama are alright but don't forget your social status and grades to keep up with. Just keep a planner with you and relax. Good luck!

  9. Well, I just finished my freshmen year and cross country and track are in completely different seasons so you should be ok. But, whatever you choose, my advice is that you get involved as much as you can freshmen year. I made the mistake of not doing much of anything my first year, and now I'm doing so much my sophomore year and in a way, I regret not doing anything. So, get involved and make the most out of every year in high school!

  10. Nothing's too much for you!

  11. do what ever u want. Im gunna be a freshman and I think that us freshmen should be involved in as many activities as possible

  12. if you think you can handle it!?!?!

  13. Try it out.  If you can handle it, that's great.  If you can't, drop an activity before your grades suffer.

    Have a great freshman year.
