My dad asked me if I'd keep it for him until he found it at home, he said it was brindle, does it like it's mixed with anything else? I might end up keeping him, I have everything he needs but I know very little about the breed.

  1. To me it looks like its a boxer, my sister got one not too long ago, that is what he looked like! Or he is an american bulldog!!! Not the short stubby nosed ones. If that is what he is, either of those, pretty big!

  2. Brindle is not the breed name - it's his coat colour.

Typically brindle dogs would be - APBT, Staffordshire Bull Terrier and Boxers.

Yeah looks at least part Pitbull to me.

  3. brindle means the color ,brown with black flecks.i dont know what beed it is ,because it is a mongrel, lovely though ,wont get to big as it only has tint feet

  4. Yes he is brindle, but brindle is a color not a breed.  He appars to be a mixed breed dog and base on what I can tell from the picture will most likely be a small to medium sized dog.

  5. How big is this puppy now?

I agree that he looks like he has Greyhound (or if a small dog - Whippet) in him  ....    he sure is cute as a bugs ear!

  6. Yes, his coloring is brindle - a brownish background with black striping. He could be a mix of any one of a number of breeds, though pit bull does look like it's part of the mix.  He's as cute as he can be!  What he is will probaby become more clear as he grows and develops.

  7. Yes,he is a brindle.

The forward bend of the ears looks like my Amstaffs ears.

Goggle American Stafforfshire Terrier and look at the site that offers pictures.I think you will find your pup there.

Amstaff's are like a cousin to an APBT.

Good luck...he's a cutie for sure.

If you are lucky enough to have an Amstaff read all you can about them...they are awesome.

  8. There are all types of dogs that come in brindle (and yes, he's brindle). From the way the ears are set on, and the fact that he is very light boned. I would suggest that there is Greyhound in there.  Plus his muzzle is rather snipey. (This is not a derogatory comment, just a style of face).  Both Boxers and PBT have fuller forefaces.

Typically a Greyhound has a long, rather whipish tail, rosebud ears (they kind of look pointed, and when alerted, will stand up with the tips sloppy, but will lay down next to the head when in a normal stance), light boned, and Greyhounds come in brindle, as well.

Greyhounds are also sight hounds, and will chase anything, to distraction.  They are also "love sponges" and lean against a person they like.

As for his size, that will depend on all of his genes.  I would guess, a medium to medium-large dog.
