Is this a cheap shot by Governor Palin? ?

An excerp from her speech on Yahoo News:

"Before becoming governor, Palin served as mayor of Wasilla, she recounted, adding: "And since our opponents in this presidential election seem to look down on that experience, let me explain to them what the job involves. I guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a 'community organizer,' except that you have actual responsibilities.""

Personally I liked it.

  1. So? I've been doing community service for years does that mean I qualify for President?

Well when I get old enough...

  2. Ooohhh....touche' mademoiselle Palin!

Yes, that was a shot, but I wouldn't call it cheap. It was worth it's weight in gold!

  3. It's a cheap shot. Obama technically is the head of his campaign and runs 50,000 employees across all 50 states, much more than Palin did as mayor.  Sure he has people taking care of payroll, security, etc but he makes the ultimate decision. He is the executive.  Palin probably had people working for her too as mayor.  The 11 years as Senator for millions of people can easily trump 1.5 years of governing 650k people.

  4. No, there's no "cheep shot" there especially when it's the truth.

    McCain IS out new president.

  5. The Republican party has turned into a regular freak show. They're parading an unwed teen around in front of TV cameras while calling for her "privacy", have flown in the father whose myspace page until yesterday said he didn't want kids to exclaim how overjoyed he is being forced into a trailer park shotgun wedding, all while claiming a woman who said the Iraq war is god's will and who was mayor of a town of 6,000 and increased their taxes and spending (and whose husband wanted his State to secede from the United States) is the savior of humanity. It's like watching a real life episode of Jerry Springer.

And while all this is going on, they claim they're the ones being treated "unfairly" even though for the past 15 years radio has been nothing but a conservative hate-fest.

How can Palin be such a strong person capable of leading the nation, yet too weak to be asked to answer basic questions about her qualifications because no one had heard of her before?

  6. No not a cheap shot.

  7. Not a cheap shot, just reality, and maybe a little bit of a snap back at the people who seem to discount her mayorship because it was a small town.

I think it's great experience and probably a ton more to do than the mayor of a large city who has dozens of aides to help him/her.

    You go, Sarah Palin!
