  7. NO  It is a ground beetle.  Totally harmless and not nasty.  Just put it outside.  I have posted a photo of a ground beetle.  They are harmless critters, don't kill it.

  8. ya it is

  9. Looks like it.

If not, I have no idea either.

If I were you, I would call an exterminator or something. Because if you saw just one, that probably means there are thousands lurking around your home.

  10. this is a cockroach

and the picture you took looks exactly like it, so i would say yes, thats a cockroach!

that thing is discusting, call pest control or get some bugspray or something.

  11. no its not its something else

  12. No, that is a beetle or waterbug.

  13. It's not a cockroach.  The identification would be that is has grooves down it's wings, is black, and flattened body.

  14. There are several varieties of roaches and they come in various sizes and shapes. You'll find them around all places where there is water or humidity, like sink drains, tubs, etc. They multiply fast and  hide in your walls and crevices. Pest control is a huge business here in Florida where we deal not only with roaches but other kinds of insects as well.I didn't go to that site but my hunch is if it were beetle-like or had long wings but can't fly, it was a roach you saw.

  15. It's what we who live in Florida call a "palmetto bug."  They're related to cockroaches but mostly stay outside.  No need to call an exterminator for this one, they prefer outside living.

  16. No, it's not.

  17. yes

  18. yup it is one... call pest control

  19. it's a beetle,

cockroaches have a larger pronotum and wings with no elytra

  20. YES. Go get some spray and foggers once you get them its hard to get rid of them.

Why is your picture dated 1/17/2007 when it is 8/5/2008?

  24. It sure looks like a roach to me. If I were you I would empty out all of your cabinets and put some bug bombs or something of the sort. Read the directions; you might have to be gone for twenty four to forty hours or so.

    Good Luck.
