Is this a coincidence or what?

I was talking with a friend on instant messenger about ghost stories and if he was skeptic, blah blah blah. We both said we weren't skeptics and then out of nowhere his TV went black. He was watching ESPN. I turned on my TV because we live like right down the road and ESPN was working fine for me. Then he's like "feels like something's trying to get my attention" and then his internet died!!! But now he signed back on. Is this a coincidence?

Well first sure it could be coincidence (I have no idea what the odds would be and since there are so many variables it would be almost impossible to calculate well).

It could be an electrical short in the wiring or problems with the TV and Computer (or the cable company and his Internet provider). It could also have been a power surge.

Once all the normal explanations are exhausted I would start with the possibility of Psychokinesis (PK) which is the current theory behind many Poltergeist reports.

Has your fried ever effected any other electrical equipment when he was emotional (mad, sad, happy, worried) or when he was extremely tired or excited?

If it doesn't happen again I wouldn't worry about it.

If it does happen again I would start with searching for normal explanations first (if for no other reason than if wiring is a problem it could be dangerous)

He probably has an electrical short somewhere.

Maybe there was something there trying to tell him something.  That is something he will have to try to figure out.
