  1. Yes it is a sentence

  2. because it is a statement

  3. yes

    others=subject

    collecting=verb

  4. no because its just not.

    are u stupid?

  5. Yes, it is.  "Others" is the subject, "like" is the predicate.

    I think some of the other people who responded are confused by the word "like."  It's being used here as a verb, not as an adjective.

    Think of it this way.  Suppose the entire paragraph read like this:  "There are many kinds of hobbies.  Some people like gardening.  Others like collecting things."  Does it make sense now?

  6. well ... i don't think its complete!because it does not make sense at all!and it is because it does not say that if there is another person who beside collecting things likes something else!what it says is: "others like collecting things."it can be called a complete sentence if it was something like this:

    "jennifer liked reading books while others like collecting things." or u can use different names and all that.hope i helped!

  7. This is a perfectly grammatical and complete sentence.

  8. Yes, it is a complete sentence.

  9. This is definitely a sentence.  A sentence needs two things to be complete:  A subject and predicate (verb).

    Subject = Others

    Predicate = like collecting things

    =)   This is indeed a sentence.
