Others like collecting things.

This is for school and I most always know but I not sure about this one.

In terms of subject/verb/object, this would SEEM like a complete sentence, but because of the nature of the word "others", it is actually a fragment! I don't know what you need to know for, but if that sentence is within a paragraph of other sentences, chances are it should be joined to the preceding sentence by a comma.
