Its gotta look really natural, and i just got these done lol  but basically its a cute myspace photo lol but its not like a professional headshot and then what i didn't know about headshots is they have to be in this certain format on the page so just look for local headshot photographers around and save up because its very expensive (i payed 500$) lol

No this stinks. It doesn't have to be professionally done until you have an agent, A good digital photo of your head and shoulders, looking into the camera, smiling with a neutral, plain background will do. Must be 8 x10

I'd say you could use it as a real basic one. But I'd recommend getting one that is black and white, and is from about your shoulders up, with you smiling. Generally the point of a headshot is to allow the director to remember your facial features in comparison to the mental image he or she had created for the character.

As some of the others have said, this is not the ideal type of picture to use for a head shot. But head shots can be expensive, and that's a big concern for someone starting out. But there are a couple of ways you can get professional looking photos for cheap. You can get pictures taken at the mall that aren't too expensive. Another thing you can try is dropping by your high school/local community college and ask about having a photo student take pictures of you... you get a head shot, they get live practice and more pictures to add to their portfolio. This is probably the most inexpensive way to get a quality head shot.
