Multiply 6 2/7 X 1 1/6

6 2/7 = 7 x 6 + 2 = 44

Therefore 44/7

1 1/6 = 6 x 1 + 1 = 7

Therefore 7/6

=

44/7 X 7/6 = 308/42

Now, I convert the improper fraction to a mixed number. So.. 308 divided by 42 = 7

So 7 X 42 = 294.

308 - 294 = 14

therefore 7 14/42

  1. Corrrect operation.

The mixed fraction you have for an answer can still be reduced, but as far as it goes it is correct and your method is correct.

  2. yes that it correct, but u can still reduce to the lowest terms, so the final answer is  7 1/3

    14/42 reduce it..its equal to 1/3

  3. Afirmative that is correct!

  4. when you got to 44/7 x 7/6, you could have cancelled out the 7's, and gotten:

    44/1 x 1/6

that would get you 44/6, which equals 7 2/6, which is the same thing you got, since 14/42 = 2/6

the most simplified answer is 7 1/3, but yes, you did it right.

  5. sounds right to me...

  6. Yes your answer is correct but you can simplify your answer further to  7 1/3.
