I think Odom should get minutes at PG. He could be like Magic Johnson

  1. Good question.

I think that this is a really, really good idea.  when he played point forward (he was a good, talented player at either position.) on the clippers.

Would like to see this in action.

  2. They have talked about this, before.  It is a valid idea, but there is a problem.

Kobe would be forced to guard the opposition's pg, making him track down faster guys (sometimes, much faster).  Then, Luke, Radmanovic, or Ariza would have to guard the opposing sg.  It could work, but it would make switching men on defense, difficult.

In addition, the pg role in the triangle offense is to primarily shoot, which is currently Fisher's role.

Just think of the post up possibilities with a line up of LO, Kobe, Luke, Pau, and Drew.

  3. they have tried it before and it failed miserably.

frankly lamar folds under pressure and pg is not a spot for the weak-minded.

In my opinion lamar's best time would be to come off the bench and run a traditonal offense with jordan farmar.  farmar clearly doesnt want to play the triangle and lamar is best in transition and a normal style game so that'd probaly suit him better.

And it would be better to develope ariza at the sf instead of lamar since lamar probaly wont be resigned next year unless its for cheap because its contract year for kobe(if opt out), ariza, farmar(90% sure), and bynum.  Letting him walk would probaly be the best course of action so y not just let him do wat he does best in last season.

  4. He is not a PG

  5. yeah then finally he can show his true potential. he will finally get the ball. forget about young talent farmar. u got to plan now not later

  6. he actually used to do that when he was on the clippers, he was a point forward, when that happened he averaged the best numbers of his career including career highs in points and assists, i think it would be great because it would allow ariza to start as well which would allow the lakers to start a good strong defender who will help them out during games

  7. Magic Johnson and Lamar Odom should never be used in the same sentence.

  8. stupid

  9. Good Idea Because Now He Is A PF Or SF And 6'10 But He treats The Ball Like A PG So Try it May Be It Will Work

  10. Not really. In fact, they were contemplating about the idea! Personally, I would like to see Lamar Odom get traded though. Why? He only has 1 year left on his contract. If its okay with him signing $5-$7M a year in his would be contract extension, why not? If it is in the range of $10M+ a year, Lakers couldn't handle him. Therefore, they need to trade him now and not wait for next year's summer. I like Odom, his game, personality, and in Lakers uniform. Its just that, it is of the best interest of the Lakers if they trade "The Goods" sooner than later.

  11. If that's a serious question, then my answer is no way. He's way too inconsistent to be at the point guard position that gets the ball 9 out of 10 plays!

  12. No, but it would work for Boris Diaw.

  13. lakers should try this
