Is this a cute idea?

Question

Everyone in my bridal party will be walked down the aisle by some one in the groom's party(we have 6 in each, not counting flower girls and ring bearers).

So, me and my fiance had this idea. We have 3 flower girls(our daughter, his little sister and our friends' daughter) and we have three ring bearers(my nephew, his little brother and our friends' son. the best man will have the real rings), we should pair up the flower girls and ring bearers and have each pair walk down the aisle, side by side, the flower girl tossing the petals and the ring bearer holding pillow with the fake rings sewn on.

They are all old enough(the flower girls are 3, 5 and 7 and the ring bearers are 4, 6 and 8) and we checked with their parents and they love the idea.

Do you think it's a cute idea? I want honest opinions.

Yes, definitely.

When one of my aunt's and uncles got married a few years ago, they got all their nieces and nephews to dress up. The girls were in cream dresses with maroon sashes and the boys wore black trousers, a cream top, maroon vest and matching bow ties. There were a lot more nieces than nephews so we couldn't be paired properly. My aunty and uncle got married in a garden. All the nieces and nephews came out first and dropped rose petals on the ground, then the bridesmaid, and finally the bride (my aunty) accompanied by her parents. It was really nice. Ultimately, it's your day, so do things how you want to. Good luck and congratulations.

I think rather than RB for the boys do Jr. Groomsmen. Kind of like a Jr. Bridesmaid. With no pillow or fake rings. I think this would look better and cost less. But when they get to the alter make sure they have a seat near front row because I know being a flower girl in a wedding while I was little I got really antsy and in fact my cousin got her foot stuck in one of the flower girl baskets. But it will be cute either way!!! Have fun and play up the idea!

Typically the groomsmen are already at the altar before the bridesmaids and bride make their entrance. Pairing up the little people could be cute though. You could get some flak from the 7 and 8 year old about walking with a boy/girl since, you know, at that age they have cooties!

I go to, if there is a ring bearer and flower girl....they always walk together.  So....yes,

I would go with that idea!

That's what we did - our attendants all walked up the aisle as couples, and my husband and I walked in together. Was lovely!
