I have been offered a full time admin job in Central London. They pay a gross annual salary of £19,500.

Is this a fair wage for London? I've never worked there before.

  1. I'd say so

  2. No this is not enough, go to www.totaljobs.com and try their salary checker, it will tell you how much the average wage is for the job that you want and in the different areas of the country.

  3. It depends how high up the job is. It doesn't seem very high to me, especially as it is in London. My dad's PA(personal sec) earns £50,000 and she doesn't seem to do much!

    :)

  4. their haveing a laugh

  5. Well thats £375 a week, £1,500 a month.

It really depends on your experience. If it's your first job or you have little experience this would be quite good.

It's not a bad wage for basic admin.

  6. I think this is a fair salary

  7. It's about right.

  8. I'm up North and I pay my full time clerical staff over £20,000 a year, so I do not think that's a good wage but a job is a job, you can always look for another whilst you’re working. Remember minimum wage is £11,500 roughly a year.

  9. sounds ok to me

  10. It depends on your experience.  If this is your first Job, then its probably fair.   If however you have more experience, are presentable, confident and capable and have agood CV to back you up - then you  should be looking for a more!
