Depends on the size of the room. I have two of these systems in bedrooms and they are incredible, but for a large room they definatly wouldn't be sufficient.

It's not upgradeable so you won't be happy in the long run. If anything breaks on it, time to throw it out. For $150 if your going to hook it up to a game console then it's ok. If you think your going to hook it up to a tv and get great surround sound, then no.
