that a 750watt lightning audio 2 channel amp,wont go with 2 12 inch 1200wattspeak 4 ohms subs?

is that true?

  1. Go by the subs RMS rating..NOT peak or max rating.Add up both of the subs RMS.There should be 2 numbers on the sub indicating wattage.Its ALWAYS the SMALLER number.After you add those 2 together,then you want to match that number with a amp that is rated THE SAME RMS POWER.

    So if 2 subs are 600 rms each,then those 2 subs total 1200 watts of RMS power needed from a amp.

    Its ok to run less....My rule of thumb is to use at least 1/2 of your total power.So if it totals 1200 watts....I wouldnt use anything less than a 600 watt amp.

    Did any of that make sense?So with that in mind,maybe you can answer your own question.So is it a bad match or not ;)

    you can wire the subs down to 2ohm and make them thump with a 750 am bridged
