  1. Possibly.  However, is it actually for conspiracy to pervert the course of justice, or for her odd views?

I agree that mass murderers should go down for life, without the possibility of parole.  Bush and Blair, for example.  Remember who was actually responsible for calling Al Quaeda into being - it was the US government.  And who made this country a terrorist target - hired British collaborator politicians.  They are the ones who should actually be on trial, and not for conspiracy, but  for murder and treason.

  2. NO i dont it should have been longer,     Throw away the key thats what i say.

She is as bad as her would be Bomber Husband she knew what he was doing so she is just as bad as him.

  3. yes.

  4. She got the right amount of time.  I don't know what probation is like in the UK but here in the States, she would be probably out on probation in three to five years.

  5. Yep, it'll do.

Why will it do? Because she's only guilty of not telling anyone what her husband was going to do. She is not guilty of murder, mass or otherwise.

This wasn't even a crime until very recently. And frankly I'm inclined to think it's a very, very grey area of justice. A prime example is the brother of one of the London bombers deported from the UK for not telling the police about an email he'd received from his brother, which he only found after the event and after the police had identified his brother in any case. In short, he got deported for not telling the police something which they already knew. Right there is where anti terror laws begin to look very, very dubious.

Incidentally, that conviction is not for conspiracy. Did you read your own stated article?

  6. lucky she didn't live in olden times, she would like the rest of the scum be hanging from a rope.

  7. My first thought was that maybe she was too scared of her family to tell the police, but that doesn't seem to be the case (she had extreme views herself). So then I wondered how long it will be before she's out - isn't it something like a third of the sentence with remand time and good behaviour?

This sort of news is bad for at least three reasons:

1: The obvious horror of terrorism.

2: The hatred and prejudice it engenders.

2: The reaction of the government - creating a surveillance society with infringement of our civil liberties.

The whole terrorism scenario just seems to be getting worse and worse and I worry about where it's all going to end.

  8. it at least sends out a message to the wives and families of other terrorists or wannabe terrorists that they can and will be charged with aiding and abetting the activities of their spouses/family members

i hope the police do this to the wives of all convicted terrorists or the families of those who were 'successful' in carrying out their acts of murder.....

  9. If it really meant 15 years then yes. In reality it could be just seven years for good behaviour. You can't take British prison sentances seriously. You know in this country a "life sentance" can be as little as 11 years in some cases.
