Question:

Is this a fair statement to make about Evolution and Creationism?

Evolution is a work in progress.Scientists have worked over many years since Charles Darwin came up with it to find proof for it.I mean many of the scientists have found theories and future ones have found even better ones. So it's been moving forward for many years now

Creationism on the other hand is an old theory from a some book written by Bronze Age men who didn't know what the h**l an atom is. They didn't know science. Other civilizations didn't really exist to them.

Their theory hasn't moved forward. It's been standing still over all these years.

Do you agree?

  1. Wow, if a statement was ever so biased it's this one! Anyway, there is no solid proof of evolution. Missing link? "transitional fossils?" Come on. God created so much. There are many species of fish that we still haven't discovered. That doesn't mean they are evolving. They're just sitting in the deep waiting. And so much in the Bible applies to my everyday life. Times have changed. But the Bible still helps in my life because I apply it to my life. I don't read a scripture and then just disregard it as a fairytale. "In God, whose name I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?" (Psalms 56:4)

I take this verse and when I study it, it makes sense to me. People can tease me and try to hurt me. But wih God on my side, what can really happen. He is so much bigger than them. And there are times when I will get hurt. But that just makes me run to Jesus and I grow stronger in Him. So all this persecusion jus helps in my faith walk.

  2. So you're saying that the Theory of Evolution is scientific and Creationism is outdated dogma? Touche!

  3. Yes.

    ID/creationism is NOT science:

"The overwhelming evidence at trial established that ID is a religious view, a mere re-labeling of creationism, and not a scientific theory." (page 43)

"After a searching review of the record and applicable caselaw, we find that while ID arguments may be true, a proposition on which the Court takes no position, ID is not science. We find that ID fails on three different levels, any one of which is sufficient to preclude a determination that ID is science. They are: (1) ID violates the centuries-old ground rules of science by invoking and permitting supernatural causation; (2) the argument of irreducible complexity, central to ID, employs the same flawed and illogical contrived dualism that doomed creation science in the 1980's; and (3) ID's negative attacks on evolution have been refuted by the scientific community." (page 64)

    ----

Creationism/ID is a religious fraud. Period.

  4. Evolution is a work in progress because it's valid

-It's actually intelligent design by natural forces

Creationism has stood still because it's not based on anything intelligent or valid in today's world

  5. I don't know about all Creationists, but the Christian one's are depending upon the Bible for telling us where it all came from. It has not gone forward with perhaps the exception that Creationism has mutated into Intelligent Design; something that I really do not like.

I would agree with your statements other than the Scientists are allowed to be wrong on any turn of events. And the corrections are still allowable, no matter how long it takes to change the story.

Other than that, you have it right in a very secular sense. One that is blind to spiritual things and tends to rely on philosophy to explain science. (Most do that unwittingly.)

  6. No I don't agree and there is a major problem with you post.

The creation account was not authored by men who didn't know what an atom was... It was authored by God himself the all knowing creator of heaven and earth . And also the creator of the very organisms, laws , matter ,energy and stellar planetary systems scientist are trying to figure out.. Hope this helped....God bless you !

  7. I know what you are saying. Evolution is unproved and it's a theorie and Creationism makes sense, so much that even people who didn't know what an atom is knew it was right.

  8. if you are sayng that science keeps changing as they find new information and that the Bible (written thousands of years ago) has never been proven wrong (even though they did not know what an atom is)and is constant then Yes I agree.

  9. Well done.
