  1. I believe the rule of thumb is that if you find it in THREE sources - then you can use it

otherwise - footnote it to death when you use any a and all of it - then you WILL have credited your source -

which is COOL because you read and found it!

    all the best

  2. when "taking" from others, site your sources

  3. It is not plagiarism as long as you say "as x*x said" or "as it is written in such and such book"  The idea of studying and learning is being able to UNDERSTAND the issue and put it in your own words.

  4. Idioms, Phrases, Similes and metaphors are part of language. It cannot be plagiarism. Do not copy the sentences and paragraphs that you see. Us it in your own way. That is it.

  5. to not make it count as plagiarism you have to site where you got them from use the MLA

  6. Possibly, unless it's a commonly used phrase you'll have to site it. If it's MLA format you can use the website below to help you out. Good luck on your essay.

  7. As I understand it, there are two defenses against an accusation of plagiarism: Originality and citing sources.

If you cannot change the metaphor into something new [given the nature of metaphors, an unlikely choice] then you point to the source and give them credit.

I could be wrong, I have been wrong before, it's likely that I will be wrong agaon.

  8. it wont be if you quote it

  9. if it's worth risking to be on the safe side change a word or two.

otherwise id say create your own that have a similiar meaning it isn't worth cheating.

i've nearly finished my gcse exams and neva cheated, i think the punsihment is too great.

you get caught everything could be lsot.

not worth it .... do it like me and do it all from your own imagination
