I have this funky rock. I think it might be from space! or maybe from the deep ocean? I found it in a dried up creek by a mountain in pennsylvania. Any ideas?

  1. Very doubtful. I'm no geologist, but I've seen many rocks with holes and pits like that one. The pits are formed by water dripping on the rock over a very long period of time, then either the rock shifted slightly, or the drip did, and a new pit started to form. Nice rock, though.

  2. Looks like a cinder. See if it is magnetic.
