Alright, so my friend wants me to ask this.

(She is grounded from the computer.)

Is this a good eighth grade project;

Do people generally learn fast with a person, or a computer?

She will take two friends , who know only one language, and teach them each German. One with her teaching one, and one using an accurate online site.

Sound good, or too simple and boring?

Be brutal.

  1. It’s a good idea but I don’t think its possible.

    You are going to take 2 different people and teach one by a person and the other by a computer. The problem is that people cannot give you accurate results. People learn in different ways. One of your friends might learn how to count to 10 in just a few minutes, while your other friend takes a half an hour to learn it. Its not necessarily how the person is taught but by how they are able to learn things.

    I’m not an expert on this, its just my opinion. Maybe you should ask your teacher to see what they have to say about it. I personally don’t think people are good to experiment with because everyone is different and you cant get an accurate result like you can with materials.

  2. sounds good to me

  3. cool it sounds awsome not simple at all.

  4. wow that's a good idea, except your friend probably didn't think about the other variable. that variable being the person who is learning. some people learn faster then others, some have higher iq's and some are better visual learners while others learn from audio. seeing as to how ure friend only has two people whom she will be testing, well that's not very substantial.

    however that is a very interesting topic, and with more test subjects that could prove to be useful to our society. it could show us weather the old teaching standards are more effective then the new modern technology. well good luck.

  5. Yeahh that sounds like a good science project but the only thing is what if one person is a faster learner? Then the results may not be as accruate but the projects that some kids for eighth grade were alot simpler. So yeah its a good project

  6. it does sound interesting... but i think you need more than just that.

    you might want to add a few more experiments that involve technology vs. man power.

    the other thing is, it seems like even though it sounds interesting... you might not have enough data to back yourself up... depending on when this project is due, this project sounds like it would take months, maybe years to find an precise conclusion.

  7. The basis is okay, but you have too many variables. One may be smarter then the other. Also, unless you're a professional, the computer program cannot be made by a professional.
