Is this a good Basketball theme for an 11 y/o boy, and a Music theme for 11 y/o girl.?

My 11 y/o is in love with basketball. For the next few weeks we're going to be working on his room. For the walls, We're painting one deep orange and one blue for his favorite team. We're also framing his favorite players jerseys and putting them on the wall. We got Mini basketball stickers for walls from a hardware store. We also got those little hoops and mini-balls from the dollarstore that he can stick on his wall. He has a knicks pillow, knicks sheets, basically a knicks bed set.

For the girl,

We got Music Note stickers for the wall. We're painting it white, and putting black note stickers on it. We're painting another wall black, and putting white stickers on it. We got specialized sheets that have music notes on it, and she's putting up posters of her favorite bands. Is this a good idea?

that sounds awesome! since it seems as if you're doing a little more for the boy, you should consider getting the girl a cool stereo too! you can get them in lots of different colors, pink or blue would look really cool since the theme of the room is black and white. hope i helped!

I think they both sound amazing! Way to play into their interests.

The boy's basketball room sounds amazing. I especially like the framing of his favorite players' jerseys. One thing you could also do for his room is to get like a basketball pillow. my 12 year old brother has one of those and he loves playing with it.

The girls room sounds great as well. Is she the type who likes black and white. you could also add in pink as well and it would look amazing. like black and white music note sheets, and you could add pink pillows or something.

sounds like a great idea. your kids are so lucky! haha. I LOVE the idea for the music room, it just sounds so graphically simple but gorgeous. You could also possibly put music notes on the ceiling, just an idea. Maybe you could frame the band pictures because it looks less sloppy when they are framed. Also, there are very cool CD racks that you could get and put them in like a zig zag formation on the wall and she can have her CD's in/on them. Also, i agree with number one, if she has an iPod, consider getting possibly and iPod deck in a cool color to decorate the room. Good luck, and I am sure you kids will love the room that you have in thought for them.
