Is this a good Gaming PC ?

This is what i'v choosen, iv done research and think this is good for my price range.

CASE: Apevia X-Jupiter Jr. 420 Watts Case (G Type Metallic Gray Color with Side-Window)

MEMORY: (Req.DDR2 MainBoard)4GB (2x2GB) PC6400 DDR2/800 Dual Channel Memory (Corsair or Major Brand)

VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT 512MB 16X PCI Express (Major Brand Powered by NVIDIA)

HARD DRIVE: Single Hard Drive (250GB SATA-II 3.0Gb/s 8MB Cache 7200RPM HDD)

POWER SUPPLY: WIN-500XSPX APEVIA 500W JAVA Power Supply

Optical Drive: LG 20X DVD±R/±RW + CD-R/RW DRIVE DUAL LAYER (BLACK COLOR)

It will cost me around $1000 from Cyberpowerpc.com

If anyone has any comments on the parts choosen, please let me know! i want to be aware if i have picked parts that have known defects.

also any comments on cyberpowerpc would be nice. i dont want to get screwed over...

  1. That looks like a pretty good setup for gaming, it's good that you have matched up the Nvidia card with the Nvidia motherboard chipset. Only thing I would recommend is maybe slightly more wattage on the power supply. 500w could be fine, but to be on the safe side, and factor in USB devices etc, a 600-650w power supply could be a good idea. More wattage doesn't mean that you will be using more power, just means that there's more power available if needed.
