Have to know brand - some manufacturers can be deceptive on the wattage peaks - also, remember to get the right amp for 4 ohm loads.

okay your head unit never powers the subs(only in home systems and no car unit has 2000watts. ha)

you need to get an amp that matches it and i know your subs are not 1000w based upon your question. you have to look for the rms power(the real power your subs can handle) or you will blow them.
