Is this a good average for a 7th grader?

Question

Well I'm was in 7th grade going on to 8th, but I have a question.

My average for the first marking Period was 87. For the second marking Period it was 85. And for the last marking Period it was 82.

My teachers and everyone says that to get into a good highschool, it relys on You're 7th grade average.

I just need to know, is this a good average or not?

Its a the B range; why wouldn't one get in the local high school?

Its the SAT and ACT that gets one in college.  

It has nothing to score from 7th grade.

Its all about the high school years and how well you do there.

thats pretty good, when i was in 7th, i had all A's, but b's are still above average. Just work hard in 8th, cause it got harder in 8th.

You should be fine, and get into a good high school

well this wont help you but in my school district we didn't really get to choose what high school we go to. we go to the one within the boundaries set by the district. unless you get a transfer

I think that you are doing fine. If you just try a little harder you can easily bring your GPA up. When I got to pick what highschool I went to the school looked at my 8th grade report cards and GPA. So you should be fine.

thats above average so I think its pretty good!! :D

Plus, I think 8th grade would matter even more. try this year to get ur grades up to 90s average and ull get into a good highschool. they like to see that you improved over your two years of middle school.

Um, why would your teachers say 8th grade doesn't matter? It most certainly does!

If you can make all As this year, your chances of getting into a good high school will be very high!

Oh, and don't listen to the person above who said high school only matters. You'll need to make good grades in middle school in order to get into a good high school.  When you're in a better high school, your SAT and ACT scores will reflect!
