It has to be about a story we read in honors [9th grade here, 13 years old] and i've been tossing out so many ideas and come down to two. Which one interests you more? which one follows the order of attention getter, introductory and thesis best?
CHOICE 1) Pete’s your average teen, Sucker you gullible twerp and Maybelle your ‘perfect’ girl. How they act towards each other could be translated as either negative or positive. In the short story Sucker most of the relationships ended pretty negatively.
CHOICE 2) ONe day Pete is Sucker's best friend, the next he's Sucker's worst nightmere. These reactions can be described as Negative and Positive. For the story Sucker, the characters Pete, Sucker and Maybelle mostly show Negative reactions.

if you have an idea [even though you haven't read the story] please tell me. i'm desperate! usually i'm good at essays but my honors teacher has high hopes for us and i don't want to dissappoint her- i'm the only transfer student [went from regular to honors this year, all the others have been in honors for years...]
