Question:

Is this a good camera deal??

I was origanly looking at a Nikon D40x or D60. But this is a good deal money wise I know. I emailed to see what kind of condition its in and all.

  1. Well, I looked him up at anywho.com and he really exists!   If the camera is in good condition, it is a good deal, but that camera has been out for almost 2 years, and if it has been used a lot, who knows  how it is.


  2. It is a used camera, so you will have no warranty on it.  There was no mention that the 70-300 mm lens is a Canon ... I would doubt it ... at that price it is probably a third party lens like the Sigma 70-300 mm at $140 new ... the 70-300 mm Canon is $550  2GB SD or CF cards are under $10 each on sale.

    My policy when buying used cameras or lenses is to never hand over the money until I can physically examine and test them.  That means I do not buy used equipment over the Internet.  I use Craigslist and look for good deals in the city nearest me.

    For under $470 you can buy the Nikon D40 (there are some good reasons NOT spend the extra money on a D40x or D60) and the AF-S 70-300 mm costs about $400 but it is a Nikon lens

  3. Take a look at "Cametaauctions" on eBay for a good price on Nikon with warranty.
