for movies, no. for shows, yes.

Yes, but I would recommend something a little better. It is not professional but it is worth the extra cash. It is the Cannon GL2. Great High Def camera with an outstanding picture quality. I use this camera for filming high school football and use it for streaming live video out over the internet. Now with hows, this is a great consumer professional camera? Heard of Chris Pirillo Live?
