  1. My brother that age does all that and more for five dollars a week.

    He does get paid a couple bucks when he cuts the grass...

  2. 10$ a week is amazing, in 10 weeks you will already have 1 hundred dollars!

  3. Cleaning up her room, doing homework, brushing teeth etc are not chores.  Chores are supposed to be tasks that help around the house and contributing.

  4. My kids do most of this for free - it's called being a part of a family.

  5. i wouldn't do it 4 10 lousy bucks noooooo i dont evn have to do that and im 16 wat yu want her 2 b a solider or sumthin

  6. yea..

    does she have to clean the dinner stuff and does she get help with clearing stuff?

  7. that is an awsome list, it will keep her mind moving

  8. wow only 10 dollars?

    thats a lot of chores, for an 11 year old.

    i mean yeah they have to help around the house and stuff, but that list is just too long!

  9. wow she does a lot.

    I think that 10 is good but anywhere btwn 10-15 would be reasonable.

    So whaht are you doing for chores?

  10. does she live with you? okay heres the thing you shouldnt pay your kid to read and take care of themsleves i read for entertainment i get paid $20 a week for doing laundry cleaning the entire house end to end and and taking out the trash. see i want money to go shopping so i work for it. and i do a lot of c**p here at myy moms: cook dinner, unload the dishwasher, and everything else so im basically getting paid by my DAD for everything i do for HER but at least im earning it.

  11. bye a bag of candy her favoets and when she does her chores when only bing ased once and without thowing a hissey fit and when that stopes working BLACKMAIL

  12. That is a splended list and the money is right!!!!! Heck I wish I had a list like that now :-)

  13. Why are YOU assigning chores to your sister?  That is your parent's job.

    * Unload Dishwasher

    * Put Clean Clothes Away

    * When Hamper Is Full Take Dirty Clothes To Laundry Room

    * Set Table

    * Clear Table After Dinner

    If your family needs a maid hire a maid service.

  14. Sounds like an excellent plan to me. My 9 y/o daughter has a very similar chore list.

  15. that is alot of chores for 11 year olds to do.

    Pick up room should be automatically done every night and she should not get paid for this.

    Reading for 20 min is not a chore to me.Just something you require of her.

    Brushing teeth is also not a chore to me and she should not get paid to do this.

    Putting shoes away is also something she should just do.

    To me her daily chores would be

    Feed/Water Cats

    Set Table

    Clear Table After Dinner

    Clean Her Bathroom

    Do home work when you have it

    Get To Bed On Time

    Get Clothes Ready Night Before

    weekly chores should be

    Help Bring In and Put Away Groceries

    Unload Dishwasher 2x a week

    Put Clean Clothes Away

    When Hamper Is Full Take Dirty Clothes To Laundry Room

    If all this is done I would give her $10 a week

  16. My daughters are 12 and 9 yrs. old. I give them those chores and then a lil more.I don't give them allowance, only because that is life . To me, I think they are suppose to do these things. So they dont be , lazy when they get older. I didn't get allowance for cleaning when i was younger. When my kids need or want a lil extra and i know that they been doing what they are suppose to be doing. Then i will get them what they want or need. It really all depends on how u feel, I dont think u should pay her to make her bed and brush her teeth. My kids  do their own laundry, clean kitchen, and clean the living room. But only because its summertime. When school starts, its alot less chores , mainly their room and homework!!  I wash  their clothes they hang them up..

  17. Only about three of the things on that list are chores! Everything else involves her own responsibilities, her own belongings, or personal hygiene.

    I wouldn't pay a kid a penny for doing any of that. I tell my kids that if they think I am being unfair, they can trade jobs with me any time they like. Funny how they've never taken me up on it.

  18. i do that all the time since i was younger than 8 and never got paid. She gets paid for brushing her teeth?? wow! if i had those 'chores' at 11 i would have been so happy
